Six Senses Punakha takes its identity from the agricultural landscape around it — the lodge is described as a flying farmhouse, its design drawing from the vernacular of the vegetable terraces and rice paddies that surround it in the valley. At 1,300 metres, Punakha is the lowest and warmest point in the Six Senses Bhutan circuit, and the fertility of the valley — the orchards, the terraced fields, the mild climate year-round — gives this lodge a particular sensory character distinct from the pine-forest properties further east.
Sixteen suites and one villa sit within this farmhouse structure.
