Paro Tshechu

Bhutan's most photographed tsechu, danced for five days in the courtyard of Rinpung Dzong.

Paro Tshechu is one of the best known tsechus in Bhutan and one of the main festivals of spring.

It is held each year in March or April at Rinpung Dzong, and it ends with the unveiling of the Thangkha (thongdrel) on the final morning.

For the dates, the thongdrel and how to plan your visit, read our guide to Paro Tshechu 2027.
