Mandala Painting Experience

A mandala is a map of the world as the Buddhist tradition sees it, and learning to paint even a small part of one is a quiet lesson in patience. This experience takes two to four hours in Paro, with a thangka teacher beside you.
What you will do
You paint any Buddhist art at the gallery or try your hand at sand mandala creation. You do not need any drawing skill. The teacher explains the colours and the meaning of what you are painting, and corrects you gently as you go.
