Guided Meditation Session
An hour of guided meditation with a practising monk, in a temple or quiet hall.
A guided meditation session in Bhutan lasts one hour, led by a practising monk or a Bhutanese teacher. It is held in Paro or Thimphu, sometimes in a temple, sometimes in a quiet hall.
What happens
The teacher shows you what they have lived. You sit. You breathe. You do not have to be good at this. Beginners are welcome.
A note on respect
The session is a practice, not a performance. Dress modestly and follow the teacher’s lead.
When to go
It runs year round.
Who it suits
It suits travellers who want stillness, whether you meditate at home or have never tried. It pairs well with yoga or sound healing.
