School or College Campus Visit

An hour or two in a Bhutanese school during term, with children, questions, and tea.

A school or college campus visit in Bhutan is one to two hours in a Bhutanese school during term, in Paro or Thimphu.

What happens

Children ask the questions you would not have thought to. You will hear English you did not expect. You are served tea. It is an easy, warm way to meet young Bhutanese people.

When to go

Visits happen while school is in session, so we plan around term dates. Please tell us your travel dates early.

A note on respect

The school is a working place, so dress neatly, follow your guide’s lead, and ask before taking photographs, especially of students.

Who it suits

It suits families, teachers, and anyone curious about life beyond the postcard.
